Our Story: From the Road to Retail

Threddies started in 1999 with a small collection of handmade clothing and hair accessories, sold from the back of a van on Phish tour and at fairs, flea markets, and festivals across the East Coast. What began as a creative way to fund concert trips quickly grew into a business built on a simple idea: people needed hair accessories in the exact colors and quantities they wanted - something that wasn’t available anywhere else.

Serving Both Direct-to-Consumer and Wholesale

Since then, we’ve grown to serve both direct-to-consumer shoppers and wholesale customers.

White-label wholesale program: Businesses can brand our high-quality products as their own.
DTC shopping: Individual customers can order exactly what they want, from a single piece to bulk quantities.

USA-Made Slouch Socks

Noticing a gap in the market for high-quality, comfortable slouch socks (similar to those sold in our family’s Brooklyn stores in the late ’80s and early ’90s), we began designing our own USA-made socks, now a core part of our offerings. We also carry headbands, scrunchies, hair ties, ponytail elastics, and more. Everything is designed and shipped from our warehouse in Pennsylvania with a focus on variety, quality, and fast shipping.

Our Brick-and-Mortar Store

In addition to our online and wholesale operations, we have a brick-and-mortar retail store in Perkasie, Bucks County, Pennsylvania. It’s more than a shop - it’s a labor of love and a nod to our roots. Here, you’ll find our full line of hair accessories and USA-made slouch socks alongside a carefully curated selection of eclectic, hippie-inspired items. The store reflects our playful, creative spirit and gives customers a place to connect with our products in person.
